I have always loved creating Art and Music and play the violin and viola!  I studIed History of Art and then Art Gallery and Museum Studies  at Manchester University. After working as Gallery Services Officer at the Whitworth Art Gallery, I relocated to live and work in Norfolk. I then trained and  worked as a teacher and love sharing my  ideas and skills with others. I have  lectured in Art History for Cambridge Extra- Mural Department.

Largely self-taught, my Art has gradually evolved as a reaction to and expression of the world around me...Art, Music, places, experiences and emotions.

Teaching in many Norfolk Primary Schools has helped me  focus my creative energies on a range of Art projects using different techniques and media. I am always keen to learn new skills and to develop and share my  methods and use of materials. I love painting, mixed media and printmaking especially.

I enjoyed teaching a childrens' Painting Experiments ' class, in July, 2014 at Art in Action, at Waterperry House, Wheatley nr. Oxford. In July, 2015  and 2016 I taught  'Printing Experiments' at Art in Action.

My  Contemporary Art practise is mainly abstract or semi-abstract.  Painting, printmaking, photography and textile/ collage pieces  are intuitive and often experimental.

I am interested particularly in Line, Layering and Colour. I love Red  and Payne's Grey; East Anglian skies and the Sea; the tactile nature of the materials and the total committment to the  creative process.

I am fascinated by current developments in Art using  latest technologies too !

I am currently teaching and creating and involved with the national Time and Tide Bell project of Marcus Vergette. We are currently applying for planning permission for the HAISBORO SANDS TIDAL BELL to be sited on the beach at Happisburgh. Please check out the website and Facebook page.

Last year, I took part in my 4th Norfolk and Norwich Open Studios and organised a new NORTH EAST ART TRAIL in 2015.

In 2017 I had my fist solo Exhibition 'IN FOCUS' at Salthouse Church.

Open for NNOS17, there was new work inspired by Norfolk, travels and intuition. Photographs, abstract and representational, paintings, mixed   media were shown.

There were free children's activities including weaving to create  a large colourful tepee and  drawing.
