STUDIO GALLERY

Sadly our home was destroyed by fire on September 11th . Everything including my artwork was affected.

​

I have set up an Installation- FIRE...the darker side of the Light Fantasteic at the Belfry Arts Centre, OVERSTRAND. This includes the Lightness of Being fire damaged prints by Georgina Scott.

2017 

 

 IN FOCUS was my first solo exhibition at SALTHOUSE CHURCH  -

off Cross Street, Salthouse, Norfolk NR25 7XH

 OPEN for Norfolk and Norwich Open Studios 2017, 27.5 - 11.6

​

I  produced a new series of abstract paintings and photographs for this exhibition. Inspired by Norfolk, travels and intuition. I looked closely at natural and manmade subjects; observing layers, lines and colours.

At times these  subjects retain their recognisable forms and at other times I celebrate the abstraction created by my choice of close viewpoint and materials.

​

There was a free weaving activity for children, where they  wove into a large scale structure and a drawing activity, looking closely at the artworks and inside of the Church.

GEORGINA SCOTT -  Gallery update:

 

In addition to my  Contemporary paintings, prints and photography

there are etchings, drypoints, screenprints and drawings by  my

daughter, GEORGINA SCOTT, a graduate in Fine and Applied Art

and French.  She won a prize for one of her pieces in the

Contemporary Print Fair 2013, Sidney Cooper Gallery, Canterbury

and had a piece selected for the Eastern Open 2013 at King's Lynn

Arts Centre.

Georgina is currently continuing her art practice and has completed a  M.A  in Curatorial Practice  at U.C.A (Canterbury).

New Studio Gallery set up in the former Village shop and Post Office at Town House INGHAM NR12 9AB for Norfolk and Norwich Open Studios 13. I have continued to OPEN to visitors on a few dates since then.

I am a qualified teacher with an Enhanced DBS check.

I can organise  informal Art workshops...relaxed and fun !! At Town House we will work in our secret Priory garden, weather permitting.
